Our Annual Burns Supper was held as usual on 25th January 2020 in the Kilmarnock Supporters Club. We thank everyone involved in making this the 'best Burns Supper ever' On the musical side, our Musical Director Billy McEwen and Honorary Member Willie Stewart were virtuosos in their performances.
Robert Lawless piped the Haggis in and out to Scotland the Brave and the Haggis was ably addressed by Hector Sutherland.
We were lucky to be able to get Buller (Jim) Reid to propose the toast to Bonnie Jean and the Lassies and to do a comedy spot and Buller certainly provided the fun which helped make the evening so special.
We can't forget our own Secretary Robert Sommerville who did The Immortal Memory real justice and Bob Mitchell's 'to a Mouse'. Ian Denholm eloquently told us Tam Sampson's Deid, but no really.
Ian Lyell presented the Appeal towards our latest Project, the Highland Mary Monument at Failford. This project will cost several thousand pounds and our Burns Supper Appeal raised £285 which is seed corn to attract further funding. Thanks to the Burns Supper Cronies who dug into their pockets once again.
Finally, a really big THANK YOU to our Events Director, Malcolm Noble, who masterminded the Burns Supper to the success it was
